The Sun and The Moon are the third and fourth artworks in the ‘UpCycling Old & Forgotten Paintings’ collection, conceived as a complementary pair that explores the eternal dance between light and shadow, intuition and clarity. Both paintings were discovered together in a private house, gifted to me by chance, and bear the signature “B.” Despite the mystery of the original painter, their work now forms the foundation of this symbolic duo.

As a pair, these works reflect the duality of existence. The Sun symbolizes vitality, enlightenment, and positivity, while The Moon evokes mysticism, introspection, and trust in the unknown. Together, they celebrate life’s cycles and the interconnectedness of opposites, guiding viewers to embrace both the light and the shadow within their journey.
