    COLLECTION

    UpClyingOld & ForgottenPaintings

This collection celebrates the meeting of two creative souls, where transformation breathes life into what was once silent. Through light and shadow, imperfection becomes beauty, and the stories of the past find a voice in the present.
In each painting, the past and present intertwine. The forgotten art of an unknown painter finds new life through symbols and colors, in a dialogue between two visions.

Riccardo Russomanno’s transformative, symbolic paintings merge forgotten pasts with vibrant, contemporary storytelling. Using acrylics, collages, and bold symbols on upcycled vintage canvases, Russomanno reimagines old-world art through the lens of intuition and renewal. His works invite viewers into a mystical dialogue, where forgotten stories find new life and purpose.

Born in Italy, raised in Rome, and having lived in Amsterdam before settling in Portugal, Riccardo’s journey is reflected in his art. His pieces delve into archetypes, exploring symbolic narratives of death, renewal, and the interconnectedness of all things. Each work carries layers of personal and universal meaning, inviting viewers to look beyond the surface and discover their own stories of transformation.
